5. Locations

Navigating the terrain of your drone service operations is simplified through the Locations section within the BhuMeet Web Application. This feature serves as a hub for overseeing and optimizing the areas where your services operate. Whether monitoring existing locations, adjusting details, or expanding your service footprint, the intuitive design ensures a streamlined experience.

Access Locations

  1. From the Dashboard:
    • Click on the Locations widget on the dashboard.

  2. From the Menu:
    • Navigate to the Locations option in the side menu.

Default Location

The service location added during onboarding is automatically listed in the Locations section once onboarding is completed.

  • You do not need to manually re-add the onboarding location.
  • The system displays it under My Locations with the status set to Active.
  • You can later edit the location, adjust area coverage, or disable it if needed.

Locations Overview

On the My Locations page, you will find a comprehensive display of your current locations. Each location card provides the following details:

  • Map Preview: A visual snippet showing the geographical area.

  • Location Name and Address: The name and specific address of the location.

  • Status Indicator: Displays whether the location is Active or Inactive.

  • Key Metrics:
    • Orders: Number of service orders associated with the location.
    • Pilots: Number of pilots assigned to the location.
    • Drones: Number of drones available at the location.

  • Farmer Note (New): Any note added for farmers will appear next to the city name on the location card. This note is also visible to farmers in the BhuMeet Customer App.

Manage Locations

You can perform the following actions in the Locations section:

  1. Adding a New Location:
    • Click the + Add New button on the top-right corner of the Locations page.

  2. Editing Location Details:
    • Click the Edit icon (pencil) on a location card to update its details.

  3. Toggling Location Status:
    • Use the Enable/Disable toggle to change a location between Active and Inactive.

5.1 Add Location

Adding a new location in the BhuMeet Web Application is straightforward.

Step 1: Open the Add Location Dialog
  • Navigate to the My Locations
  • Click the + Add New button in the top-right corner.
  • The Add Location dialog will appear (see figure below).

Step 2: Select or Search for the Location
  • On the Map: Pinpoint the location by clicking directly on the map.
  • By Name/Address: Enter the name or address in the search bar.
  • Coverage Area: Specify the service radius in kilometers to define the coverage zone.
Step 3: Add a Note for Farmers (Optional)
  • Enter a note in the Add a note for farmers field (e.g., “Get 10% Discount on 25 Acres”).

  • This note is displayed:
    • On the location card in the BhuMeet Web Application (next to the city).
    • To farmers in the BhuMeet Customer App for that location.
Step 4: Save the Location
  • Click Add to save the location.
  • A confirmation message Location Added will appear.

The new location is now listed under My Locations with the specified radius and optional farmer note.

Note: Once enabled in the Locations section, the location becomes available across all active services. Disabled locations appear grayed out in Services and cannot be selected until re-enabled.

5.2 Edit Location

To edit an existing location:

  • Click on the location card or the Edit icon (pencil).
  • The Update Location dialog will open.
  • You can update the address, radius, and the farmer note.

After changes, click Update. A confirmation message “Location updated successfully” will be displayed.

5.3 Enable/Disable Location

On the My Locations screen, each card shows a toggle to set the location as Active or Inactive.

  • Active: The location is available for all services.
  • Inactive: The location is unavailable in Services until re-enabled.

  • Enabled locations automatically appear in all Services.
  • Disabled locations are removed from Services.

5.4 Search Location

Use the Search Location bar on the My Locations page to quickly filter and find a location.

  • Enter part of the location name or address.
  • Matching locations will be displayed dynamically.

Notes

  • A default location is created during onboarding.
  • You cannot delete a location once added.
  • Farmer notes are optional but provide valuable communication for offers or instructions.
