4. Locations

The Locations feature allows you to set, confirm, and manage your farm or service locations. Accurate location ensures that BhuMeet can:

  • Connect you with nearby service providers.
  • Display relevant offers and weather updates.
  • Help pilots reach your farm quickly.

4.1 Select Location

When you tap the Location on the Home screen, the Select Location screen appears. From here, you can:

  1. Use your current GPS location.
  2. Search and set a new location.
  3. Add and save an address for future use.
4.1.1 Use Current Location
  1. Tap Use Current Location below the search bar.
  2. The app will detect your GPS location.
  3. Tap Confirm Location to proceed.

Tip: If you want to choose a nearby location instead, drag the map pin or use the search bar at the top.

4.1.2 Search New Location
  1. In the Search bar, type the name of your area or village.
  2. Alternatively, drag the map to place the marker manually.
  3. The address fetched from Google Maps will appear at the bottom.
  4. Tap Confirm Location to set the location.
4.1.3 Add Address
  1. On the Select Location screen, tap Add Address+.
  2. The Confirm Location screen opens.
  3. Adjust the map marker or search for a location.

4. Tap Add this address.

5. In the Save Your Address dialog:

    • Review or edit the displayed address.
    • Enter a custom label (e.g., “Farm 1” or “KKW College Field”).
    • Tap Save.

This address will now appear in your Saved Addresses list for quick selection.

After saving the address it will redirect you to home screen by setting the location for order booking.

4.1.4 Manage Saved Addresses

The Saved Addresses section displays all your stored addresses.

  • If none are saved, you’ll see: “You haven’t saved any address yet!”
  • Tap Add Address+ to create one.

a) Select a Saved Address

  • Tap directly on the saved address.
  • You’ll be redirected to Home, updated with this location.

b) Edit a Saved Address

  1. Tap the three dots (…) next to the saved address.

2. Choose Edit.

3. The Confirm Location screen opens.

4. Adjust the marker or search again.

5. Tap Add this address → update details → tap Save.

c) Delete a Saved Address

  1. Tap the three dots (…).
  2. Select Delete.

3. Confirm in the deletion dialog.

Tap “Delete” to delete the selected address.

 

Warning: Deletion is permanent. Once removed, the address cannot be restored.

Tap “Ok” to continue.

You will be redirected to Select Location screen.

4.2 Confirm Location

Once a location is selected, the Confirm Location screen appears.

  1. Review your pinned location on the map.
  2. Tap Confirm Location to finalise.
  3. Alternatively, tap Use Current Location if you wish to update with GPS.

Farmer-Friendly Notes

Why save addresses?

  • Makes booking faster, especially if you manage multiple farms.

Check GPS signal

  • Weak signals may place your marker incorrectly. If this happens, use the search bar to refine.

Best practice

  • Pin near your farm entry point to make it easier for service providers to find you.
